New stuff

Lots of new coffee varieties going on. This new Peru had been bugging me. Kinda over malted maybe a little too much tobacco... I always roasted Peru really oily-not french roast oily burnt but dark. So I started messing around going super light-like barely brown and started tweaking it and tasting it until I ended up right here which is really nordic style. Now it aint like grabbin a bag at ikea or anything but for whatever reason(perhaps my roasting will hasn't been forced on it) the flavor REALLY pops. I put an extra bit in the normal dose .27lb per 64 oz of water for those counting at home and wala-perfect Peruvian. Rich, fruity no malt or tacky aftertaste, its a winner. Anyway I am going to be approaching a couple other varieties in a similar fashion in the next couple weeks so stay tuned. Some of this stuff isn't in the store yet because its not where I want it so its not ready for market. Some of them are Colombian Suaves, Chiapas Mexico, and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. All are in various stages of post-production so they are close but not there.Peace.

Been taking it easy...but back to work in time for Christmas coffee!

Been working less and playing more but stuff is getting done down @corporate headquarters...finally got my computer fixed so I will be updating the webstore with new coffee goodies in the next day or so

So its been a while...

To answer the curious Peggy Pearl was born at home almost six months ago so between her newbornness and the off-the-beaten-track house project i havent had the same time for internet stuff so have a great memorial day weekend Ill be roasting up some new stuff today and will be in the roastery tomorrow grinding and weighing out pounds for the weary...see ya soon

Engine in and a coupla new blends

Last night, the bike got finished---well mostly the battery was dead so I couldn't start it but I think it came out great. many thanks to a great guy who will remain nameless for making it all come together, thanks brother.
On another note, I spent this morning adding a couple new favorites to the store so check 'em out.
Black Gold was on yesterday at the Saturday open house hang out and everybody really liked it so its officially a winner. Its a bit of a dry blend, think Nicaraguan, Peru, Honduras and a couple of other tricks thrown in there so its on the bold side. I also added a new/old decaf that I usually have kicking around the roastery but keep getting sidetracked and never put it on the site. Frequent Harry & Beans customers know how great this decaf is and I got hooked on it this summer so I didnt get cracked out this summer during market season. Dark and delicious you can totally fool your friends this tastes so close to 'real' coffee.

Harley Update

Brought the new motor home the other night, very excited to get the bike back together...I can say Ive never had a passenger quite this heavy or expensive

Just finished a new blend for a great smoothie and crepe joint in cape may. they wanted something dark with chocolate notes so I've been messing around with some new stuff and this new blend was born. I am really pleased with the results so check 'em out in Cape May and on facebook here
